Debby Chen was born in Taiwan and graduated from National Taiwan University Department of Foreign Languages, National Chengchi University, and Oregon Research Institute. She served as a reporter of World Journal Newspaper in San Francisco Bay Area. She has published more than a dozen of books, including a high-tech reports and humorous prose.

20 years ago, she published "I Love To Learn Chinese" textbook to help people learning Chinese in the American way. She now lives in Silicon Valley, California.
